Michael Winesett started Winesett Nursery & Landscaping in 1979 and owns and operates it today.

How do I schedule a landscape appointment?

Call Jane in our Landscape Department at 757-426-7880 ext 43 Mon-Fri 10:30-5:30. You can leave a message for Jane at any time, or fill out our online contact form.

Does it cost to get a landscape estimate?

No, our first visit is no charge. We will discuss options and offer a price estimate for the project. Should you decide to proceed, you can submit a deposit to get on our schedule. We will then design and price your job. Or we can quote you a design fee, to proceed with your landscape design.

Do you carry insurance, and is that important for any contractor that I hire?

Yes, it is very important. If you hire a contractor that does not have insurance, the risk of property
damage or if an employee gets injured, could be transferred to the homeowner. Our comprehensive insurance covers general liability, workers compensation on all employees, and auto insurance on all vehicles.

Can you provide references?

Yes, we have some posted on our website. We also ask every customer to fill out a survey of all the work that we just completed. They are all available for your review, in our binder. Please also look at our reviews on Google.

Yes, Winesett Nursery & Landscaping is a Class A Contractor. License# 2705 110028 A

Do you require a deposit to schedule a project?

Yes, we require a 30% deposit, the balance upon completion.

Who is your bookkeeper?

Donna Garrett.  757-426-7880 ext 7.  Her hours are usually Monday and Thursday 7:30-4:30.  Otherwise leave a message or call Jane 757-426-7880 ext 43, Mon-Fri, 10:30-5:30.

Can you special order plants or large trees for me?

Yes we can, we use local suppliers and suppliers all down the East Coast.

What types of payment s do you accept?

We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard.
